Wake Up Call...

The President's low numbers, the delayed victory in Iraq and the corruption that has surrounded several GOP figures as of late caused the country to vote for a change in control of the House and maybe control of the Senate as well. Here at home Asa and the entire ticket lost soundly.

Election wise the high spot for us was that two obstructionist on the city council at home were voted out--this should be good for our community.

Most importantly is that we keep it all in perspective. God is still sovereign and He will still cause His kingdom to be advanced in the earth. We continue to love Him and serve Him and move forward. In the meantime we will pray for our new officials and hope they do right by all of us.

All and all it was a tough night for the GOP....R stood for "rough" tonight.

Totally rough nite. VA is still up in the air. I'm praying desperately that we at least keep the Senate. Mid terms are always hard. Good news--maybe this will help us wrangle in the out of control spending. I had hoped to vote in AR to help ASA (not that it was even close), but had to register in VA to get a driver's license. God is good. And He even loves Democrats (maybe?) so I'm hoping for good things to come from a true, 2-party government for 2 years. :)
