Vote Today
Today we hope you will go and vote. Imagine the idea of an American that enjoys all the benefits of democracy not participating in the democratic system. It is unconscienable to me. I just don't get it. In developing democracies people risk their lives to have a say in who holds office, makes policies, and governs over their government. We should do the same. It does appear that a record turnout of voters will take place today. I sure hope so.
If in Arkansas we hope you'll vote for Asa Hutchinson. He'll be a good Governor. If you are somewhere with a tight US Senate race or House race we hope you'll vote Republican. The party isn't perfect by any means but we align best with its values and priorities. It's a rocky day for the GOP....Midterm elections are almost always tough on the sitting President's party. This year that is certainly the case. The President is not very popular and recent scandals have seem to surfaced on GOP office holders. Those guys are gone--as they should be--but that's not reason enough to change the entire course of the nation's political agenda, fiscal policies or our commitment to the Iraqi people.
So there you have it--our opinion. We both voted early this morning and turnout was high already at our polling place.
Tonight will tell.
