Are we overdue for an update?
So life has had us in the fast lane. Jessica has had laptop troubles and Chad has been really busy. The few spare minutes we have found have not been spent updating the blog. Maybe the holidays will allow for a little more updates.
Hannah and Grace are doing well. Hannah is finally settled into a ballet class that she loves and is as graceful and beautiful as ever. (will post a few pics of her doing ballet at the house). She is also taking piano and is improving every time we listen to her play. It really is impressive. She is such a great student. Hannah is so reflective, as well. She thinks through everything. She and her sister have been reading a lot lately. They're reading various books off of their school list and reading their Bibles everyday. Hannah has pulled so many great things out of the psalms that she has been reading. Sometimes you say, "And you're how old?" She has also taken some really profound notes on Sundays. She doesn't just take the stuff off the powerpoint but writes down what things mean to her in her own 9 year old words. We love the heart she has.
Grace is the gymnastic queen these days. She is hardcore with three practices a week. She has worked the bars so hard that she's ripped the skin off her palm (which is apparently common in gymnastics and a big celebrated event when it first happens.) Grace is so full of energy and excitment these days. She is growing so much and is taking in so much of life. Her interest and curiousity in everything is one of the things that is so beautiful about her. She has become a very good reader as well. She reads a lot and reads so very well for her age. Lately her and Hannah have been big into "wall push-ups"--thanks Luke.
Ethan--this guy continues to live life at FULL SPEED. Recently he flooded the upstairs bathroom and consequently the entire house. You know you have a problem when water starts pouring though the dining room ceiling. His newest favorite phrase is "oh my dosh--attitude" If anyone does not do what he wants or what he says then he immediately starts about "attitude" He loves to tell on the girls for having "attitude" One day this week Chad told him goodbye and Ethan got upset that he was leaving. So Ethan threw himself on the couch and said, "Me no talk to you." This guy keeps us entertained and is a lot of fun.
Tomorrow=11 years for the Gallagher couple. November 16, 1996 was the day our journey began together. We love each other more now than we did or even could then. Love...real love...endurance, faithfulness, commitment, strength, honor, covenant...is a beautiful thing.
