Trinidad

Trinidad was wonderful and challenging. It is certainly wonderful to be home. Spiritually it was the best meeting I have ever been to in my life. It was rich, enlightening and did much in my heart for which I am grateful for. It was so meaningful to be with others from all over the globe that are loving and serving the Lord and devoting their lives to building His kingdom. It was tremendous.

The natural world there was a little challenging though! There was no air conditioning....well, except for in the hall we met in but not in the rooms we slept. Very few folks in Trinidad--TT (for Trinidad and Tobago) have AC. TT is really hot--it's about 10 degrees from the equator and about 11 miles north of South America. Also, we ate some of the most interesting things: bake and shark (wonderful), caullo (not so wonderful)--this is basically leaves and okra blended into a dip, lots of papya, passion fruit, and mangos, stews of various sorts, some roots, and lots of chicken. It was a different variety but much of it was good.

Here's a few pics.

More than ever it was good to be home. Absence really does make the heart grow fonder.

i'm so excited that you got to go to trinidad. lucky guy :) the food sounds interesting. between the heat and the food, it could double as a weight loss camp too! maybe they should market it in that direction...
i bet your babies are glad you are home.
