Weighty Matters

This week has been a week of weighty matters. We have had friends and family on each side that have faced tragedy, struggles, attacks or problems. The weight of it has been much and as we reflect we realize how much we appreciate God's faithfulness in our lives and the hope that can be found in Him alone. In Him we are rescued from our troubles (read ps. 107), healed of our sicknesses (James 5 for one) and redeemed from our sins (all of the gospels!) This week one friend found their son's life in the balance. God is so faithful and rescued him mightily. We rejoice. Another friend of ours faced a major bump in their road of life this week and Chad's sister gave birth to a little girl prematurely that needs prayer and strength. In moments like these we realize the frailty of humanity, our need for a Redeemer, a Friend, a Healer, Comforter and Deliverer. We are so grateful that we have all of that in Him. I Pt. 5:7-_We cast all of our cares upon Him because He cares for us. What a blessing.
