Our Smiley-face Grace
Grace is our summer birthday girl. Her parties have been swim parties, slip and slides and the such, while Hannah's winter parties are always more creative...Princess parties, tea parties, etc. Last year both girls had a BIG party at the weekend house where most all the family lived close by and could be a part of the festivities.
This year's Ethan's arrival dampened having a large party at the house and neither Mom or baby are traveling anywhere yet so no trip to the usual party location. So this year we had to be creative. So Mammy came and stayed with the new addition while dad, mom, H and G all took a big trip to the movie theater. The girls had only seen one movie in the theater previously. (Decent choices in movies for little ones in whom you are trying to build some decent values are few and far between) So this evening we ventured out and went to see Madagascar. It was cute and the girls loved it. Their giggles were adorable. Not to mention the fact that they had an enormous amount of candy (a deviation from the normal routine), lots of buttery popcorn and a HUGE real Coke (another deviation). It was a great time for all.
We still will give her the main birthday present early tomorrow morning. Mimi will make a trip to the house to give her one as well and earlier this week G dragged her Mammy all over the city for a "birthday shopping tour". They had fun!
She's so Big and still so lovable...our smiley face Grace.

Happy birthday Grace! :)
I'm glad to hear that Madagascar was a good one. Annabelle has only seen one movie (Polar Express) at the theater, and Madagascar will be her second (hopefully tomorrow with the g-parents)
I bet Mammy is lovin that new little baby too ;) He's a cutie.
